Bhubaneswar boils at 41.2°C at 11.30 am, heatwave continues for three more days

Bhubaneswar: With no respite from the scorching heat wave prevailing in Odisha, the mercury crossed 40°C at at least five places in the state at 11.30 am on Wednesday.

The maximum temperatures measured at various locations today at 11:30 am:

  • Jharsuguda: 41.3°C
  • Bhubaneswar: 41.2°C
  • Sambalpur: 40.6°C
  • Hirakud: 40.4°C
  • Keonhar: 40°C
  • Rourkela: 39.6°C
  • Balasore: 39.5°C
  • Paradiep: 34.7°C
  • Puri: 33.8°C
  • Gopalpur: 32.4°C

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional office in Bhubaneswar predicted that the heatwave will continue for three more days and some respite can be expected on Sunday when the Kalbaisakhi will lash the coastal areas of Odisha.
