Tots Carlos, Mylene Paat MJ Philips have left the Korean V-League

NO Filipina was called up for the 2024 Korean V-League (KOVO) Women’s Asian Quota Draft on Wednesday in Jeju Island, South Korea.

Creamline’s Tots Carlos, Petro Gazz’ MJ Phillips and Chery Tiggo’s Mylene Paat failed to make the cut after a three-day tryout in Korea alongside more than 30 candidates from various Asian countries.

Carlos and Paat participated in the tryouts, which led to their absence due to Creamline and Chery Tiggo’s respective defeats in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference semifinals on Tuesday against Choco Mucho and Petro Gazz, respectively.

Because he was drafted last year by Gwangju AI Peppers, who lived in the basement, Phillips was exempt from this year’s tryouts.

Although he wasn’t drafted this time, Phillips was a welcome addition for the Angels after running 13 in a four-set victory over the Crossovers to take an early lead in the semifinals of the single-round robin.
