Pak Int’l Poultry Expo 2024 organized – Business and Financial

PESHAWAR: The Ministries of Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in collaboration with Livestock Farmers’ Association, Livestock Cooperative Society and Inbox Pakistan organized a two-day Pak International Poultry Expo 2024 in Peshawar.

The expo was inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agriculture Minister Major Sajjad Barakwal (Retd). A total of 64 stalls were set up at the fair where domestic and foreign companies showcased their products, while experts from the livestock and agriculture departments also participated.

Speaking to the media, the minister said that the aim of organizing this expo is to create awareness among the stakeholders in the poultry sector in a better and useful manner and provide them with an important platform.

Moreover, on the first day of the expo, students showed great interest and collected information about projects and research in the livestock and agricultural sectors.

Meanwhile, the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry urged the government to take proactive steps to promote poultry farming and resolve issues related to this important sector. The demand was made by SCCI Senior Vice President Sanaullah Khan while speaking as chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Pak International Poultry Expo 2024, a statement said here on Sunday.

Sanaullah Khan on the occasion assured that the chamber will address the issues faced by the poultry farming community and play its effective role in an amicable resolution. He invited the poultry farmers and businesses involved in this sector to the upcoming SCCI Investment Conference, which is likely to take place in mid-May. The Expo was attended by KP Agriculture Minister Major Sajjad Barakwal (retd), Secretary Animal Husbandry Dr. Ambar Ali Khan, Chief Veterinarian Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Syed Masoom Ali, president of Raj Wali Poultry Association, along with a large number of poultry farmers.
