University of Ghana Stadium will host the 2024 WAFU Zone B U-17 Tournament

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the University of Ghana Stadium will host the highly anticipated WAFU Zone B U-17 tournament scheduled from May 15 to 29.

Several West African teams will participate in this exciting event.

GFA’s Director of Communications, Henry Asante Twum, expressed his gratitude to the authorities for their cooperation, stating: “We have spoken to the authorities and they have accepted that the University of Ghana Stadium will be the venue to host the tournament,” as reported by Peace FM.

In addition to the stadium, four training fields have been designated for the preparation of the teams. These include Achimota School Park, the athletic oval at the University of Ghana, Sarbah Hall Park at the University of Ghana and Union Park, also located within the University of Ghana.

The teams are expected to arrive in Ghana from May 10, allowing five days for acclimatization and preparation ahead of the opening ceremony and first match of the tournament.
