If you’re heading out and about in Mississauga and the GTA on Wednesday afternoon (May 1), you might want to keep that umbrella in hand.

After a sunny start to the day, clouds are expected to roll in by early afternoon and there will be a 30 per cent chance of showers by late afternoon, according to the latest forecast from Environment Canada.

Patches of fog will clear tomorrow morning, with winds becoming south-westerly at 20 km/h and gusts of up to 40 km/h by the afternoon.

A maximum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius is expected with a UV index of 8 or extremely high.

It will remain partly cloudy into the evening with a 30 percent chance of rain, before clearing later in the night.

Winds will be from the south-west at 20 km/h, with gusts up to 40 km/h early in the night, then becoming north-westerly at 20 km/h, with gusts up to 40 km/h in the late evening, before becoming light after midnight .

A low of 10 degrees Celsius is expected tonight.
